Mom and Jack

this is my morning view everyday, as I sip coffee with Mom and Jack.
We live three doors down, but somehow this similar routine feels like home to me.
He reads the Sunday funnies on Tuesdays
She is the Queen of Crosswords and Sudoku
He fixes things that ain't broke
Life is good.
  Full of love and laughter.....
and some interesting stories...over and over.

He reminds us every night that Merritt Island is surrounded by water, that's why we do not have bad storms.
He jumped off 57 foot towers, ate worms,  hates eggplant, oysters and the weather in Pennsylvania.
Wait a minute...I have already told you these stories, right??

how about last week when he and Mom were enjoying a leisure walk around a local park.
He declared he needed to find a bathroom, so they piled back up into the car, drove to the nearest bathroom. When Mom stopped the car, he said " I'll just wait for you here"

We laugh. We love. And we are all here together.

She unfolded

The story behind my photo is up today
   at She is Three

How long has it been since you got messy inside your Art Journal?

well, it's been way too long for me,
so now I am unfolding, unpacking, unraveling,      and getting ready for this.....

I am teaching my first class
  at Bali Studios next month
   and the month after that...
    and the month after that!!
So so excited to find my tribe here!!

Be sure you put your feet in the right place. Then stand firm ~Abraham Lincoln~

I am now participating in Vivienne's Chakra Photo Workshop
and our first exercise begins with the Root Chakra...RED!
As I was unpacking this week, I came across memorabilia
from 2002 when I performed "Vagina Monologues"
at W.W.U. Bellingham, WA
I recalled the amazing journey with those women
and will never forget those days.
So I slipped on that same dress,
and took myself to the
Banana River, just down the road.
this is another day I will never forget
digging into my life here
feeling the raw, rugged Earth under my feet
as I walked among the dead fish, broken glass,
driftwood, and pine needles
He who would learn to fly one day must first learn
to stand and walk and run and climb and dance;
one cannot fly into flying. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche~

Get up, stand up, Stand up for your rights.
Get up, stand up, Don't give up the fight.

falling into place

painted rocks by Kim, The Rock Fairy

moving from Texas BIG house, to Florida small house,
is making me a teeny bit anxious.
But I have decided to adopt the following Story People
philosophy of Brian Andreas

"deciding everything is falling into place perfectly,
as long as you don't get too picky
about what you mean by place or perfectly"

I shall be moved

I vow to touch more paint,
less plastic keyboards
and glass touch screens

How are you finding JOY this week?
