52 Photos Project

This weeks prompt is "Nourish"

After spending all day in my kitchen,
this puddle of water was left behind
in one of my pans after rinsing it.
What a gift!
I made a huge pot of Ratatouille using
fresh local organic summer vegetables.
This makes me happy.
Some say I am a food snob. I am OK with that.
I tend to look the other way and prefer to go hungry
if bad food is the only thing available.
So I make a choice to participate in "Slow Food"
when possible
I try to set a happy table, free of the clutter,
no bills to be paid, hammers, nails and screws, cellphones.
I grew up in a home where we ate in the kitchen, no TV
I still do, and do not own a TV
Matt and I have started The Happy Belly food business
where we participate in the Food Love and focus on healthy fares.
I will be teaching a Gluten-Free Cooking class in June.
We now sell 6 flavors of Happy Belly Hummus!
This post is making me hungry!
The kitchen is the heart beat of the home where families gather, and not only nourish the body, but heart, mind and soul as well.

Time to Shrine

Once again, it's time to open my heart
and offer my art
the Shrine Auction Project to raise funds

recuerda mi corozon

My hand are busy this week, running thread
thru fabric, baubles and beads

in preparation to donate something special

for this auction to benefit the children
in Oaxaca, Mexico
who deserve an education, just like you and me. Seriously.

Kiss the Earth

Kiss the Earth

Walk and touch peace every moment.
Walk and touch happiness every moment.
Each step brings a fresh breeze.
Each step makes a flower bloom.
Kiss the Earth with your feet.
Bring the Earth your love and happiness.
The Earth will be safe
when we feel safe in ourselves.

Tomorrow is Earth Day.
This video has some amazing footage of Human Earth

This has become my new, calm, gentle way to start my day
by listening to Mantra Music: by Snatam Kaur

Do you love Def Poetry as much as I do?
Listen to this message to a daughter
Just in time for Mothers Day
I can listen to this line over and over..
 "There is nothing more beautiful
than the way ocean refuses
to stop kissing the shoreline
no matter how many times it is sent away."

Do you have a Muse?

 I bought this here

and finally, this is my Etsy Treasury "FREE TO FLY".

Have a JOYfilled Thursday
